CASTLE SIEGE @ DBS OUTDOOR PAINTBALL PARK (Oct 17th, 2010)

Pre-Registration:

Open at the DBS Indoor Arena!

Preregistration is now required, but will lock in your spot at the event. Game will be limited to first 100 players, so preregister today at the Indoor Arena to lock in your spot!

GAME DETAILS:

You grew up in Doodle Village. In Doodle Village there are three very land hungry Lords that are assembling armies to defend their castles and to capture the land of the other evil Lords. Your objective: to honor your countrymen and King and defend your land, while expanding the empire.

BREAKDOWN: Each round you will start defending a different castle (YES, we have three castles!). Rounds will last 1-hour each. We will reinsert players every 10-minutes at their base. If you & your countrymen do not have possession of a base, and all your fellow countrymen have been eliminated, you will be started at a random respawn point appointed by one of our referees. 

OBJECTIVES:

Defend your castle!
If you lose your starting castle your team will lose 50 points.

Capture other castles!

Award of 50 points to your team for capturing another teams castle.

Hold the center FORTRESS!

There is a center fortress that none of the Lords have been able to defend... until now. Your team earns 5 points for every minute it successfully holds the center fortress!

Kill the Kings!

Capture the kings crown and keep him from being reinserted. Your king must be in play to utilize capture items.

Find the capture items!

There will be many items hidden on the field that will give bonus points, allow additional & immediate reinsertions for your countrymen, grant special abilities, etc...

A couple capture items:

The Sword in the Stone:
By capturing this sword you will have the ability to summon any eliminated warriors to your aid at a time of need. (it allows for a reinsertion).

Dragons Egg:
You find a dragons egg and plant it in an enemy fortress to cause a dragon attack on that fortress. 1/2 of the defenders are eliminated in the attack.

Castle Banner:

Find your banner and for one insertion your team rise up and valialty defend your empire. This items allows your team to only be elminated by vital shots for one reinsertion. 

GAME TIMELINE:
10:00 AM - Gates Open
11:00 AM - Game Briefing
11:30 AM - First round begins
12:30 PM - First round ends, 30 minute break between rounds starts.
1:00 PM - Second round begins.
2:00 PM - Second round ends, 30-minute break between rounds starts.
2:30 PM - Third round begins.
3:30 PM - Third round ends.
4:00 PM - Awards Cerimony/Raffle takes place.

World Cup Update

Currently World Cup D1 has 7 of 12 (including us) paid teams, with entries closing Friday. I'm guessing 10 teams paid. Our trip to a California went well. We played for about 4 hours on Saturday and then for another 4 hours on Sunday morning. The weather was a toasty 90 on Saturday, which felt pretty warm for us Washingtonians. It was a cooler (plus we played earlier) temperature on Sunday morning. We moved through our games plans pretty quickly and it feels like the team is running well on all cylinders. I only have praise for Fuzion. They are a joy to play against, they don't scrub hits, they run good game plans and they are skilled players. CEPP is a great field, the turf is perfect and the bunkers are in great condition.
We're practicing again Sunday and hopefully the weather will hold, forecast is rain.
